While this is true, there are some pieces missing from this equation. If you treat only the physical body, you are neglecting to treat the other aspects of your human being: your consciousness, your mind, and your soul.

Exercising your ability to connect to your consciousness and awareness are fundamental elements of achieving optimal health & healing. When you are “intra-connected” (meaning connected within), you are able to live a healthier, more balanced, and powerful life.

 

Understanding Intra-Connectedness & The Human Body

Our bodies are capable of miraculous things. They are perpetually regenerating and healing, striving to keep us in a stable state of homeostasis at all times. When we are out of balance for long periods of time, our bodies have to devote more energy to creating a stable internal state, and therefore are more prone to infection, illness, and disease. Balancing your whole body through holistic healing is crucial to ensuring your immune system works properly to fight off illness.

 

While there are many environmental issues that put our bodies at risk and diseases for which we have no known causes or cures, these things are outside of our control. We do however have full responsibility and control over our own minds, bodies & souls. Anything we “feed” our bodies, including thoughts, feelings, emotions, food, and chemicals, affect us on all three levels. Learning how to balance and connect these three elements of the human being and care for each with the appropriate amount of attentiveness will enable us to achieve personal intra-connectedness, live a healthier life, and create the happy relationships we so deeply long for in life.

To obtain optimal wellness, I don’t focus on food first. Instead, I focus on the cells of your body and if their biological needs are being met. For effective holistic treatment of the pain, illnesses, or problems you experience in your life, you must understand how the physical human body works and what it needs to survive and perform optimally.

 

Every cell in your body relies on what you consume to thrive or decline. We consume food to give our cells energy, and liquid to hydrate, but we also consume a great deal of external energy through positive or negative emotions and thoughts. These can have just as great of an impact on our cells as well as the food we eat. My approach to nutritional coaching considers everything we consume through our minds, bodies, and spirits, rather than only focusing on the tangible, physical foods we eat.

 

We begin with a full analysis of physical nutritional patterns: your diet and lifestyle. Working together, we will determine the best foods, supplements, vitamins, minerals and herbs that will support your cells in converting the food you eat into positive healing and regenerative energy. Healthy foods increase the vibrations of your cells, improve alkaline levels in your body, and ignite your innate healing power from within.
